Early Milestone: Growing Instacart Across the U.S. & Driving Change in Healthcare and Education

Aditya’s career took off at Instacart, where he was the 10th employee. He was given the big task of helping the company grow beyond just one city. He built and led the City Launcher team, and in only 10 months, they launched in 12 major U.S. cities. He handled everything from attracting customers and hiring shoppers to working with local retailers. Later, as General Manager for cities like New York, Boston, and Atlanta, he oversaw local hiring, operations, and growth strategies. His efforts helped Instacart grow from a small startup into a $10 billion public company.

After his success at Instacart, Aditya moved into the healthcare sector. At AllStripes, he led operations such as collecting medical records and organizing data for over 4,000 patients with rare diseases. His work made these complex processes smooth, efficient, and compliant with strict health regulations. Following the company’s acquisition by PicnicHealth, he took on the role of Chief of Staff, where he helped guide overall strategy, product planning, and operations.

Before his time in health tech, Aditya was the COO at Nova Pioneer, a fast-growing school network in Africa. There, he played a key role in launching 13 school campuses across Kenya and South Africa. He reduced construction time from six months to just eight weeks and helped provide education to 5,000 students while creating over 800 jobs. One of the schools was even named a finalist for the World’s Best School Prize for Innovation.

Leading Junction with Purpose and Principles

Today, Aditya is Head of Operations at Junction, a healthcare startup backed by Y Combinator, Creandum, and Point Nine. Junction is helping connect health data and lab systems across all 50 U.S. states by solving deep technical problems in healthcare. His leadership is based on three core beliefs: focusing on the less glamorous but important work, building systems that can grow over time, and leading with empathy. These values have earned him honors like the 2025 Globee® Award for Customer Excellence, the World Economic Forum’s Technology Pioneer Award (via AllStripes), and recognition from Nova Pioneer.
