From boardrooms to classrooms, Dr. Brown is driven by a singular conviction: leadership must be a vehicle for equity, innovation, and liberation. “The measure of leadership,” he often emphasizes, “is not simply how many follow, but how many are elevated.”

A Foundation Built on Scholarship and Purpose

Dr. Brown’s academic journey is as comprehensive as it is inspiring. His education includes a Doctor of Education in Higher Education Administration from South College, a Ph.D. in Business Administration from Charisma University, a Juris Doctor from Purdue University, and additional master’s degrees in divinity, management, leadership, and business administration. This breadth of study reflects a mind deeply committed to bridging disciplines and using knowledge as a force for change.

His early work focused on advancing Black liberation and building systems-level solutions for marginalized communities. Over the past two decades, he has consistently pushed the boundaries of what is possible in education, ensuring that every initiative he leads is grounded in access, equity, and measurable impact.

A Career Marked by Transformation

Dr. Brown currently serves as Chair of the Graduate Business Department at Excelsior University, where he spearheaded the development and launch of flagship Executive MBA and Doctor of Business Administration programs. These initiatives not only expanded the university’s academic portfolio but also created new pathways for students to pursue advanced degrees with real-world impact.

Previously, as Chief Academic Officer at Miami Regional University, he played a pivotal role in launching the inaugural Doctor of Nursing Practice Program, generating $1.5 million in new revenue, and establishing multiple new degree offerings, including the MBA and Master of Education programs. These efforts significantly increased enrollment, retention, and graduation rates, propelling the institution to new heights.

His leadership extends beyond academia. This philosophy has guided his decisions, from designing inclusive curricula to shaping policy recommendations at the national and global level.

He is also an inaugural AI 2030 Scholar, contributing to research on ethical, justice-centered applications of artificial intelligence in education and leadership.
